5/26/09 - After a slight pressing mishap, or collectors items creation, depending on which side of the fame you're at, we now have the amazingly awesome new LP Breaks In the Sun by our good friends Weinland available for sale! Hot damn! We are quite sure you will be as pleased with this record as we are. Just look at what all these other slightly more fancy than I people have to say about these fine young men! Pick one up now so you can pull the "I knew them when" card next year, and be sure to check them out on their up coming California tour! Also, OMG, ICFBI, LIMSS! Our intial pressing of Laura Gibson's stunning new album Beasts of Seasons is out of stock! Thank you to all the "early adopters" out there, we are so pleased. Laura is still out there on the road, so if you covet the silkscreened cover, you may be able to pick a copy up at the show! Still working out a few kinks in the slow brewing news, so bear with us on the major revelations, we've got some more super awesome projects set for this fall, so hold onto your pants!

3/21/09 - Laura's album is out and doing wonderfully, she's having a fabulously special album release show on April 2nd here in PDX at The Old Church with the Portland Cello Project and Ah Holly Fam'ly, you'll want to get tickets in advance, so go here to do so. Speaking of record release shows, our friends Weinland are having one at Mississippi Studios on April 11th, get tickets here. Their new album is called Breaks In The Sun and we're quite pleased to be releasing it on 180 gram audiphile quality vinyl on May 12th. We've also get Target Heart from our pals Blue Giant in stock, and we're super pleased with how it turned out. We're working on some other fancy new projects for 2009, so stay in touch!

1/14/09 - Welcome to 2009! We've got a few gems coming your way in February & March respectively. First up is the vinyl version of Laura Gibson's new album Beasts of Seasons. It's a stunner, and as a bonus to you all it comes with a download code for home recorded solo version of evey song on the record! Next on deck is the PDX super group Blue Giant, Kevin & Anita from Viva Voce have put together an amazing band and written some wicked coutrified psych rock jams that will sure to have your foot stomping and your heart breaking. The vinyl bonus here is 2 covers of the Byrds and the Kinks, hot damn! Both are available for pre-order here now. We also wanted to point out that we still have limited colored vinyl for the Decemberists singles, Colin Meloy Sings Live! and Transfiguration of Vincent, so snap them up quick while you still can! There's more to come in '09, so stay tuned true belivers!

11/9/08 - So much news so quickly! Blue Giant! Kevin and Anita from Viva Voce, Evan from the Swords, Chris Funk from Flash Hawk Parlor Ensemble & Seth from Golden Bears have joined forces to create some amazing music, and I'll be damned if we don't get to release it on vinyl! It started as a 6 song EP, but we talked them into adding a few of their favorite covers to the vinyl, so we're going with 8! It won't see the light of day until early March, but there's a preorder going on right now here, and if you jump on it you'll get the digital download of those 1st 6 songs right off the bat! Hot damn!

Other fun things to think about, Nick Jaina is having his record release show at the Doug Fir on Nov. 16th, and Wow & Flutter and Carcrashlander are having a joint release show at the Doug Fir on Dec. 11th. We can hardly believe how lucky we are to be working with all these fine folks, come on down and support them! Cheers! JBR

The long awaited follow-up to Names, this is a band transformed. They will rock your face off and you will like it. Arrives sometime in early October on 180 gram vinyl and CD.
JB-072 - Nick Jaina: A Narrow Way LP
On our trademark 180 gram vinyl and exquisitely packaged, this album was recorded live to 2-track by an at times 13 piece band! The strongest songs yet from this ridiculously talented (and prolific) songwriter. Ships October 14th, but the band may have some on the road!
JB-073 - Carcrashlander: Mountains On Our Backs CD
The latest by Mr. Cory Gray and his fine band. A rocker of an album, sprawling and contemplative. On tour now, they'll have copies with them, available from the site shortly.

We're having out first label showcase in a really long time at Musicfest Northwest here in Portland on September 5th, and there are a few of us heading out to CMJ this fall! Also, we're now selling the vinyl for Laura Veirs album Saltbreakers in the distro section of the store. I can't imagine what else we could possibly squeeze in this year, weee-oooo!
